Propel is an open-source Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) for PHP5, based on Apache Torque, Propel allows you to access your database using a set of objects, providing a simple API for storing and retrieving data. It is a professional PHP database project.

Propel generates PHP classes and SQL definition files for your data model and provides a runtime environment that transparently handles database operations.
